What does ThreadKeep actually remember?

The context you choose to save: goals, decisions, constraints, completed work and next steps. Agents save structured checkpoints; people save editable context packs. ThreadKeep does not read your AI accounts or other conversations automatically.

Can my agent use it automatically?

Once you connect it and give permission, an agent can save and resume tasks through MCP or HTTP. Your agent host controls which tools may run. OAuth is available for compatible remote MCP clients, with scoped API keys as an alternative.

Can an agent start a paid subscription?

An agent can check usage and prepare a private upgrade request. You review the $12/month price and explicitly approve payment in Stripe. There are no automatic upgrades or usage overage charges.

Can I take my context with me?

Yes. Review, edit, copy or export your context pack as Markdown or JSON. Keep your workspace recovery key somewhere private to restore access on another device. Agent task exports are available in Agent connections.

Does every checkpoint call an AI model?

No. Saving and reading agent checkpoints stores and retrieves structured state without calling an AI model. Optional conversation-to-context AI updates have their own separate allowance.

What should I know before starting?

ThreadKeep is in beta. Only the latest agent checkpoint is retained, and artifact links do not back up the files they reference. Keep secrets out of saved context and keep a private backup of your recovery key. Read the full limits in the agent guide.
