How this estimate works
Delivery margin = (project fee − estimated delivery cost) ÷ project fee. To preserve the original percentage, the added fee = original fee × extra hours ÷ planned hours, rounded up to a cent. This assumes the same cost per hour for the extra work. It excludes taxes, fees, overhead, and other costs unless you include them in the hourly figure. Set the final quote using the actual work and commercial terms.
Example: price 16 extra hours
A $6,000 project with 80 planned hours and 16 extra hours gives a $1,200 added-fee estimate. At the same hourly delivery cost, that preserves the original delivery margin. Choose the final quote using the actual work, costs and terms.
How to interpret the result
Added fee = original project fee × extra hours ÷ planned hours. This is a model based on your inputs, not a guaranteed profit or market price.
